Travel Wayfare is a digital travel guide platform that replaces generic advice with curated, hand-written itineraries plotted on interactive maps.

Role & Context

As Full-Stack Engineer, I developed the platform to provide a better alternative to cluttered travel blogs. The goal was to create a "digital companion" that provides practical, actionable travel plans that are easy to follow on the go.

The Challenge

Travelers often get overwhelmed by too much information. The challenge was to create a UI that could present dense itinerary data (times, locations, tips) in a clear, day-by-day format that works perfectly on mobile devices while users are exploring a new city.

Our Approach

I implemented a mapping and content-focused strategy:

• Interactive Map Integration: Integrated custom maps to visualize daily routes, helping users understand spatial relationships between attractions.
• Progressive Disclosure UI: Developed a day-by-day navigation system that allows users to focus on their current schedule while easily peering into future plans.
• Offlineive Strategy: Optimized the site for fast loading and basic functionality in low-connectivity environments typical of international travel.

Results & Impact

Travel Wayfare has transformed how users plan their trips:
